Synopsis:
Eve, a young artist, leaves home and embarks on a journey to find herself, exploring the notion of living only in the present moment. It is 1971 and she is a child of her time. Eve hitches a ride on a yacht and sails along the east coast of Australia. She leaves behind a broken relationship with her school teacher. A storm strikes and the crew are led to safety by a school of dolphins. Eve makes choices and is transformed. She becomes a figurehead, then a mermaid. A benevolent old man appears in many places, in many guises. At journey's end, Eve leaves her companions without a second thought to begin a new adventure. Eventually all Eve's wishes are fulfilled.
